A late Halloween post

If you know me personally or have read previous Halloween posts, you are aware that this is my favorite Holiday!  I hate that Christmas stuff it being put out at this time! Halloween is a day that everyone, even adults can be whatever they want to be, they can escape the every day norms and just have fun!  It lets the kids inside all of us be... well, kids!

So this year since we didn't have a party planned and I'm the only one that dresses up at work (yes, I got to work in full costume EVERY year) I decided to go for something easy and that wouldn't break the bank.  I purchased the wig for 9$ at Spirit Halloween and the dress on Amazon for 20$ which I plan on wearing often.  It's nice, non costume material and it's a really cute dress!  I had the rest at home- the tights, makeup and shoes.   The skull is just one of my decorations for the house but it seemed fitting!  I had a lot of fun being Wednesday Addams!  It's one I haven't done before!

Chance even had his Halloween bandana on for the special day!

Brian and Bear waiting for Trick or Treaters- excuse the couch that's Bears blankets he cuddels in when we are away at work.

We love to decorate but only get 8-10 trick or treaters every year.  It's the most disappointing feeling.  We want to really go all out but it's so hard when there aren't a lot of people to enjoy it.   Maybe we will go all out next year and REALLY decorate and just do it for us cause we love it and we enjoy it!

Here's a short little video clip of my Halloween day :) I hope you all had a wonderfully creepy day and did any of you dress up???

Conneaut Lake Weekend - QUICK Recap

As you read from the last post - assuming you read it haha- we went to Conneaut this past weekend. Chance had a great time sticking his head out the window and letting his ears blow in the wind while Bear is not the best in the car and cried the entire time.
We Visited the Park - which use to be so crowded when I was a kid.  There were more people there though than I have seen in a while which gives me a little hope!

My sister can really get my Mom to do anything and they always have so much fun doing it! Brian and I watched them on the Merry-go-round and they had the time of their lives!

Blurry Photo but I just love it so much!

I got to spend some time with my sister whom I just adore.  She is so funny and just an amazing person to be around.
Beautiful Sunset
and a great bonfire with the moon to light the sky

My sister got us all involved in this game and I made her do the whole thing at the end...

My Mom took out the boat this weekend too- she doesn't drive it and usually leaves it up to my Dad but this year she was DETERMINED to learn how to dock it and drive and I must say, I am super proud of her!
She was nervous but happy!

So, August already huh.  Welp- here's to a summer that went by wayyyy too fast.  I just hope August slows down a bit for me to enjoy it.  We are going back to the lake at the end of the month for a vacation and I plan on doing lots of projects and will make sure to update the blog! <2

Thanks for reading <3

Mom's 65th Birthday

Two posts in one day!!! I know- I couldn't really wait... they start to build up and give me anxiety and I have had a lot of that lately.

So for my Mom's 65th Birthday on June 24th (I know, she doesn't look 65!) we took her to do something she has always wanted to do- a train ride!  We drove about an hour and a half to Ohio for the experience.  We had some snacks once we got there, explored the small town and then hopped on the train!  It really was a nice, relaxing 3 hour ride (went by very fast) and we enjoyed chatting a glass of wine.  It was a beautiful day and was wonderfully spend with family! I'm going to let the photos do the talking for this post as it was a pretty simple day so I hope you enjoy them!

Well- Happy Birthday Meems- we love you to the moon and back and then back again!
