I had my Aura photographed

So... My friend, Amy, and I went to have our Aura's photographed today.  It was such a cool experience.  I actually haven't stopped thinking about it all day.  When receiving our mini reading afterward she told me that a big reason I had a lot of yellow around my head was because I was receiving and downloading a lot of information all at once in my light right now and that is SO TRUE.  She also said that I use both my right and left (logical and creative) sides of my brain pretty evenly and yes, I feel that is also true.  I've always called it a battle within myself.  I did move my hand at one point and kinda goofed the reason as my friend told me my color started out white and purple and then when I placed my hand back down it started to turn the yellows and orange colors you see below.  The other good thing our Aura reader told us was that both Amy and I are pretty darn balanced at the moment, which is cool.   I totally want to do this again someday!  I placed my photos in a little album so I can add more in the future.  I have wanted to do one of these for so long and my friend Amy pulled through with finding the event that was offering it.  We then shopped around a really awesome spiritual shop which was, unfortunately, going out of business.  I picked up a really neat numerology deck for 10$ and then we found a really awesome place to eat that offered the best crepes in Pittsburgh and gosh darn it, they were the best! I want to take the hubs down there soon.  I got the spinach, feta and avocado crepe and it was just soooooo amazing.  I really enjoy hanging out with Amy too- we have so much in common and she is just one really cool chick.

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend- did you do anything you have been wanting to do for a while?

(On a side note, the head shot is said to represent what we put out for others to see where the whole body/charka one is what we are to ourselves.)

In Between

I have had a real craving to start filming and editing again so ... I did one of my poems/rambles that I threw on some paper and made a little video.  I hope you enjoy!

I really want to keep doing these, let me know what you think!

10 Mile Hike at Hell's Hollow

So I got this bright idea that I wanted to do an extreme hike- like a competition hike- a 30 mile hike...
Brian, who is a little more realistic than I am, decided we should take a hike near our home so we could get some miles towards thechallenges we entered for the year and to see just how far we could make it.

Good thing we did cause it's FREAKING HARD!  We hiked about 10 miles and we were feeling it big time. I do have to say that it was hot and extremely humid but we hiked for 4 straight hours.  There is a time limit on the 30 mile hikes which you have to complete within 12 hours.  So that means you have to do at least 2.5 miles every hour to finish on time.  We did 10 miles in 4 hours which was great, but I honestly don't know if I could keep up that pace for 30 miles.  I know it seems like it's a slow pace to keep but when you are hiking up hills and over tree branches and on slippery paths, it's not.

So- we decided to enter into the 15 mile competition in October!  https://sites.google.com/site/greenmonstertrailchallengepa/

The only problem is it's a 4 hour drive so we may camp out the night before and then head back home after the hike.  I'm pretty excited!

I also have to add that I'm pretty damn proud of us hiking the 10miles.  My legs felt it and I came home and napped afterwards but we did it! :) And we did it together! <3

I didn't take many photos of our hike since we were on a time limit but here are a few and then my screen shots from my Fitbit for the day! Most steps I've gotten in one day! WOO HOO!

West Virginia

I know it's been a while since I have posted.  I'm sorry, this year has proven to be a challenging one.   I am trying to take some time to figure things out.

In the meantime, we took a trip to escape from the daily routine.  We decided to venture to  West Virginia.  It was amazing.  I am going to post a few photos and our video and I'm sorry this post isn't any longer, I just wanted to make sure I put our tip on the blog- it was too fun not to!

A late Halloween post

If you know me personally or have read previous Halloween posts, you are aware that this is my favorite Holiday!  I hate that Christmas stuff it being put out at this time! Halloween is a day that everyone, even adults can be whatever they want to be, they can escape the every day norms and just have fun!  It lets the kids inside all of us be... well, kids!

So this year since we didn't have a party planned and I'm the only one that dresses up at work (yes, I got to work in full costume EVERY year) I decided to go for something easy and that wouldn't break the bank.  I purchased the wig for 9$ at Spirit Halloween and the dress on Amazon for 20$ which I plan on wearing often.  It's nice, non costume material and it's a really cute dress!  I had the rest at home- the tights, makeup and shoes.   The skull is just one of my decorations for the house but it seemed fitting!  I had a lot of fun being Wednesday Addams!  It's one I haven't done before!

Chance even had his Halloween bandana on for the special day!

Brian and Bear waiting for Trick or Treaters- excuse the couch that's Bears blankets he cuddels in when we are away at work.

We love to decorate but only get 8-10 trick or treaters every year.  It's the most disappointing feeling.  We want to really go all out but it's so hard when there aren't a lot of people to enjoy it.   Maybe we will go all out next year and REALLY decorate and just do it for us cause we love it and we enjoy it!

Here's a short little video clip of my Halloween day :) I hope you all had a wonderfully creepy day and did any of you dress up???

Success

 Hi All!
This is the new photo I have completed for the oracle card deck and for Chance and I's project that we have wanted to do together (Yes, I'm assuming my dog wants to be a part of this).  This is photo #2 of the deck.  I have not decided yet how many I would like in our series but - that's two completed! I may do anywhere from 35-50 total - we will see how it goes!

First one here: Focus

We spent the weekend at Conneaut Lake (I will make another post about that once I get my photos together). We had a great time though- I did rush this photo- I actually fell asleep and only had Saturday night to do it and my Dad had just finished dinner.  I shot this in maybbbeee 10 minutes? I wish I had more time to set everything up but I did what I could in my time slot.  This has to be at least 11 photos edited together... It took some time but I am really happy at how it turned out! I like the misty look to it as well, makes it feel rather dreamy! I hope you all enjoy- I included some behind the scenes, please don't mind my hair and lack of makeup- I literally had just woken up :)

and some behind the scenes :)

Bear and Brian made it in the one below. LOL! They always have to get in my shots somehow! ;)

and of course, the always distracted model Chance!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we drove out to meet up with our good friends Haileigh and Alan in Brockway, PA. What an adorable little town out in the country!  Haileigh and I work together but she works from home while I work in the office.  She comes in every now and then but I don't get to see her nearly enough. She is truly an amazing soul and I just adore her and her husband!  They had this wonderful festival going on with arts and crafts, music (Bon Jovi cover band) and a magician that was the funniest and most awkward I have ever seen.  I can't even begin to explain his antics but the best part was he threw some adult humor in there and it went right over the kids heads and we were all laughing.   We walked around and got some food and just enjoyed our friends company!  We had about a 2 hour drive home but after I snapped some photos of the country side I fell asleep.  The sun wore me out.  We got home and both laid on the bed and passed out.  Brian was just as tired as I but the day was totally worth it!  So here are some photos from our day:
