The Room

Here is another video I threw together one night with the help of my husband filming me.  This had to be the coldest night of the year and he was so willing to help me out with this!  I am so grateful for his support all of the time.  This was something I wrote in my notebook a little while ago and always was fearful to share the problem a lot of us share.... creative blocks.

I hope this helps you know that you are not alone in these!

In Between

I have had a real craving to start filming and editing again so ... I did one of my poems/rambles that I threw on some paper and made a little video.  I hope you enjoy!

I really want to keep doing these, let me know what you think!

Zodiac Prints

I was recently inspired by prints I had found online of the Zodiac signs and how they reminded me of my Dad who always had me interested in the night sky.  I will forever remember him telling me, "Always look up" -and because of that, I've seen some very incredible things!
I made a short video because I really wanted to show the process on how I create these!  I am not quite finished with them but close!  The ones I have "completed" are really more of a rough draft so I have some work ahead of me.  Sometimes you just need a couple of tries during the editing process to get them just right - BUT- I hope to have all 12 Zodiac signs done very soon. I can then start creating the prints for the store :).
I will write an update as soon as they are ready to be purchased online and I will include the link to the website where you will be able to find them(I'm leaning towards Etsy which I already have a link on the right side of the blog for).  I hope you enjoy watching my video as much as I enjoy creating it and the prints!

What's your Zodiac sign? Do you feel like you can relate to your sign?  Let me know in the comments below!

What Makes Us Human - Vulnerable

vul·ner·a·ble

So- I really wanted the next photo in the series to be a happier one but it is the end of
my "staycation" and we did a ton of work around the house and I have been feeling so
happy about it...until today.  After realizing I had to go back to work tomorrow, I felt very sad, depressed and, well, vulnerable.  These are the things that make us human- these feelings- and sometimes it makes me realize there are some major things I need to change in my life.  Have any of you ever felt that you couldn't move on from something? How did you? If you are reading this, feel free to leave a comment below.

I feel overwhelmed with work, wedding planning, new house things, my to do lists and then spending time on hobbies, friend and family (the fun stuff).  I don't feel a balance and it makes me feel vulnerable and sometimes it's a little much.  I really hope you enjoy the new photo- It was fun to do on my last day off for a while.

The paper airplanes signify all of those things in life headed for me or away from me.  The things I have to let go and the things that I have to let in.  If you are feeling at all this way -  It's totally okay! This is life and it's important to understand that EVERYTHING will not always be in a perfect balance.  Let it in and let it go!

Autumn Walk

This was seriously a spur of the moment, I NNEEEEDDD to shoot something creative photo- I really don't think I LOVE how it turned out, but I liked it. It was shot after work, in a bad mood and in a rush since I have a wedding I should be editing. I'm done with weddings. It sucks the life out of me. If I had six months to edit it- fine, but I can't do four weeks while working a full time job. I drive myself nuts. I think I'll just stick to the small stuff for now. Couples shoots, kids shoots and pet shoots. Anyways, I feel my creative juices bubbling up. Halloween is around the bend and I still don't have a costume ready- this is a BIG deal for me, I'm getting a new tattoo on the 18th from my friend that I haven't seen in way too long and am pretty excited about that, I am down officially 27lbs since I started my life change and we are looking for a house after we just got back from Aruba (I'll try to blog about Aruba at some point - next year lol)! My plate is too freaking full...I have a to do list that has been put aside for months and months and a doll I have been working on painting for almost a year now- yes, I said a doll. Everything I LOVE to do is always shoved to the side. This post will be positive- I'm going to vow that after I finish this wedding, I am making myself, FORCING myself to have "me" time for my creative juices. I'm just so full of confusion and I feel lost. I have STILL not found my place in life yet- it's frustrating. I can't wait to get a damn house. I can't wait to get organized and I can't wait to figure me out. Well my tattoo will be of the icelandic compass. It's pretty neat actually-maybe that will help me find my way!

So - back to this post about my photo- I'm starting to blog about life under my photography tab and that's not right ;) hahahaha Here is the before:

and the after:

Seriously ran outside to shoot in five minutes and was back inside- good news though- Chance took a big poop! TMI I know I know- thought it was funny though.
I hope you enjoy it! I may fiddle with it more when I have some time but I just needed to do something creative. With my buddy. My best friend
