My Bachelorette Party

So- wow, time is flying! A little over one month until we are MARRIED! I can't wait to blog about all of my projects that I've done for the wedding.  There are so many things I can't put on here yet that I'm dying to share! I just have to remember to blog about them later, I did take photos of everything but life has been on hold and it's full on wedding planning mode.

I had my Bachelorette party last Saturday and it was incredible.  I'm not much a drinker anymore being 33 and all. I know, SO OLD!  I mean, I like my few glasses of wine but I like it at home where I don't worry about driving or smokers (I use to be one, almost one year quit) and other drunks.  I just kind of grew out of the bar scene. Nothing against it, just not for me. Anywho- we decided to do something fun and have a girls night at my mom's house with a tarot card reader that came highly recommended to my sister, Erin!  But first we did the Escape the Room in the South Side.

If you have never done the escape room- you have to try it out.  I didn't know exactly what to expect but they have you walk into a room (actually a few rooms- ours was titled the "apartment" so it looked like a small apartment) and the door is locked behind you.  You have to find clues in these rooms to find keys that unlock padlocks or clues to open a combination lock or even safes!  It was seriously too cool!! Just take my word for it, get a group of people together and go!  We didn't make it out in time- we had about two more locks to open and we ran out of our 60 minutes time limit.  We all said we would do it again in a heartbeat!

When we got back to my Mom and Dad's house the pizza we ordered arrived and the Tarot Card reader was there to start our card readings! She was so cool and laid back and not what I was expecting! haha! She owns a store downtown called JuJu that I will have to check out one of these days.  I went first for the card reading.  I was always a weeee bit skeptical but I found myself being so emotional while she was reading my cards.  She was DEAD ON! Kinda creepy but awesome at the same time! She told me so many amazing things and overall I had a great reading.

I ended up buying a Tarot Card deck to teach myself how to do it.  I thought, well that was fun, why not!?

Everyone else took their turns as we had a glass or two of wine, ate pizza and cake and just had fun hanging out. The whole night was amazingly fun and I am one lucky girl to have these people in my life!
Up next Brian will have his bachelor party and then before we know it, our big day and then Iceland! WOOOO too excited. Have a lot to do and need some sleep tonight so I am going to leave this short and sweet with some photos of our night! <3
