Leslie and Dan

     Wow- Time flies! I haven't posted some of the weddings I've shot and I decided to post some of my favorite shots from the LOVELY Leslie and Dan's wedding!
    It was a nice relaxing drive out to their wedding (a few hours in the car by myself listening to music never bothered me) and then, I GOT LOST! I gave myself more than enough time to get there and enough time to even get lost if I did!!! The GPS hated me and I was literally in the middle of NOWHERE land!  Where was I!? Seriously, THERE WAS NOTHING! I ended up calling the Bride to let her know where I was and she led me in the right direction! I finally found my way and arrived at the wedding just in time to shoot her getting ready for the big day!  
     They are the CUTEST COUPLE! I mean they are each a half of a whole! I just adore them both! Leslie and I both went to Edinboro University together and I was so excited when she got in touch with me to shoot her wedding! She made so many beautiful things for her big day! She made the flowers for the brides maids, her bouquet and HER DRESS! That's right, SHE MADE HER WEDDING DRESS!  It was so perfect and so unique, I just fell in love with the entire wedding!  Her husband Dan is just as nice as she is and made me feel so welcome! We had a blast!  They were so funny together and just so laid back and so excited to become husband and wife!
   The weather couldn't have been better and the leaves were changing color- gosh it was almost a year ago already!? Leslie and Dan- I wish you all the best with your marriage, you two are just perfect together! Thanks for having me shoot your wedding and capture some of the best moments of your special day! Enjoy some of the photos from their amazing day becoming husband and wife! ( I had a hard time only choosing a handful to post...) - No particular order, my blogging skills need work!

The Fire Inside

     THE FIRE INSIDE

     So- I suffer from OCD and the more things I can not control in my life, the more I try to control other things in my life.  I try to make up for things things that are out of my hands.  I am overly terrified of germs ( I work in an ENT office, directly with hearing aids) I develop irrational fears and I have panic attacks through out the day.  I am really trying to overcome this on my own and it's very difficult. Some people that I feel should be there more for me are leaving me hanging.  I wanted this photo to signify all the fire I have inside of me, the want to live a normal life.  I wanted the flames in my hands to be the little part of my life that I can control and the fire in the background to be all the things that are literally out of my hands. 
I sure hope that made sense.

This will go in the gallery in January! I am too excited for it! I hope anyone that is in Pittsburgh will come see the works of art that me and some other girls from my college, Edinoboro will be putting together for the show! Counting down to my first gallery and I can NOT wait! xo



     I think this may go into my Evermore series of dreams.  Evermore is a place for ideas and dreams to come to life through photography!  You can check it out on my website- I am totally going in a different direction than I thought- I wanted Evermore to be a make believe world but to be honest, it was too much for me to get everything together- I still hope to have some shots of models and such but I want Evermore to overall be a place of surrealism. 

P.S.- The gallery date for the opening is the 11th of January, 2014 at the North Hills Art Center on Babcock Blvd! - I will post more details closer to the Event!

     It's so funny what your imagination, a little bit of time and some determination will get you!  I have always wanted a way to convey my feelings through art and even though photography can drive me NUTS (seriously, it can really drive me crazy); I love it and I love when I get a photo I'm proud of! I hope you guys enjoy!  Keep up with whatever you want in life, even if life gets too busy- don't give up what you love- I am learning that as I go and take it from me, I need my photography- even if my blog took longer to write than me going out back to shoot this photo! lmao! <3

Feather

     I woke up today really bummed out. My shoots are working out and I really do want to shoot more. I told my boyfriend, Brian, that I feel like I don't know me or my style that I take too much inspiration from others instead of finding it within myself. My photography has changed, I have changed- but I still don't know ME.  I really hope you like this, I went out with the camera today and stood outside feeling defeated and unmotivated for the longest time. I came in and told Bri I wasn't going to edit because they were overexposed and I felt like it was too forced. I sat down- started to edit for some odd reason and this came about. I love it. I am so very happy with it. I want to do more different things and shoot more for Evermore so there will be more stuff coming. I am going to start learning my camera even better and take it with me when I go places.  I'm determined to be the artist I want to be. More photos for myself instead of taking other peoples opinions. <3

Had a hard time between the black and white and colored one! I hope you like, shot right before the sun went down and VERY quickly for something to edit- I want to get back up and shoot more and edit more since I have not been doing my personal work in so long! This was just for fun! 

Autumn

     I am starting this project, if you do not know, because I have my first gallery in January and I wanted new things that I have not done yet. I wanted to create a world we could all get lost in if only for a few moments! That is, if you are anything like me, and want to be taken away from reality ever now and then! My mind is a strange world that is afraid to explore and take too many chances in life.  I like to have things a certain way and I don't want people to look at me strange or question my art but it's something I'm going to let go for now. Try something new.... Welcome to Evermore, the world inside my brain <3

    I hope you guys enjoy it. I have never been so torn with a photo before. A lot of people give great opinions and critiques but it seemed like everything I did had something wrong about it, so, I am just posting this. I am ready to just work with what I see and with who I am and I can not wait to show you some of my ideas.  I really worked hard on this one, the outfit is handmade and so is the headpiece.  The wig is actually from my Halloween costume and was added last minute.  I'm a bit upset the skirt that I worked a few hours on didn't make the photo but it just wasn't happening. I just didn't like it. haha! I had my friend Kristin working behind the scenes with me on this and we had a blast! Thanks Kristin! <3 She is also helping me with another photo coming up shortly where she will be my model!
   I had a model lined up for this but decided on a different character for her. I want all the rest of the photos to NOT be of me... so...wanna come along for my adventure!??? Keep posted...

     Please, honest opinions on this and let me know what you think! Should I keep going with this idea, ect.

QUICK UPDATE!

Shooting for my first character in Evermore hopefully soon.  I'm too excited and hope this shoot turns out a bit better- the last one I was not very satisfied on the dress I made, so I made changes on it! I hope you guys are excited as well! Here are some behind the scene photos of the costume. Sorry, they are iPhone photos - sometimes when I'm in a rush my phone replaces my $$$ camera. lol.

Evermore

I have a new project. If my plate isn't overly full- I'm just unhappy!  haha! So- it is called Evermore and it will have different characters with back stories. It will be a fantasy world full of different characters- I'm going for a mix of down the rabbit hole into a makeshift type heaven thing. It sounds confusing but I hope you guys will join me for this wild project I'm doing. There will be a gallery in January were I can hang some of these pieces and I can not wait. Slow but sure, I will get this done! 

So - first few photos of the shoot that is coming up! I did end up doing a shoot last weekend but did not like how the outfit I made looked unfinished. So- The lovely model Stefanie is willing to re shoot with me! SO HAPPY! This time, I'm asking for some back up so our friend Kristin will be coming to help out!
